Comsyn has capability to manufacture tarpaulins and plastic sheeting of the highest standards that can meet or exceed the specifications established by the International Technical Committee (ITC), a consortium made up of members from the UNHCR, UNICEF, ICRC, IFRC, OXFAM, MSF and other NGOs.
Tarpaulins are to be used in support to humanitarian operations, for temporary shelter and are recommended for individual / family shelter protection.
UN approved tarpaulins feature reinforcement strips / grey bands that are 60% stronger than eyelets that allow the user to create customized fixing points appropriate as per application.
UNHCR/ UNICEF approved tarpaulins have PP or PE ropes on the edge inside the hem and strong aluminum eyelets for providing very strong fixation points.
Comsyn tarpaulins are regularly tested and validated by a recognized laboratory.
